Movie Actress Kiara Advani was born in India on July 31. Before being cast in Fugly, she briefly studied acting at performance academies run by the famous Indian actors Anupam Kher and Roshan Taneja. Though her parents did not work in the film industry (her mother taught school and her father worked in commerce), she was born into a show business family: her great-grandfather, Ashok Kumar, and her aunt, Juhi Chawla, both had acclaimed careers as screen actors.

Her performance in Fugly was praised by film critics of both the Bollywood Hungama and the Deccan Chronicle. She costarred in Fugly with Indian boxer-turned-actor Vijender Singh.
